2023 Elite kits arriving
I was shocked to open my mailbox today and find an Aeroplan E50K package for 2023! Other than the 2023 expiration date, the Aeroplan card and luggage tags look the same as last year. Have they ever been sent out this early before?
Incidentally, I'll qualify for E75K for the first time ever after my upcoming flight to Houston this weekend. I wonder how long it'll take to get the package for that!

If you hit 50K recently and you had qualified to have your status extended, it would make sense to send that kit.
September, for "next year's" kit, is unheard of.
I'm SE MM, more than half a million away from 2MM. It's very reasonable to assume my status will not change next year.
For a 50K in September? That's not a reasonable assumption.

I received my 35K kit this week with only a few thousand SQM until I hit 50K. Im also surprised to see they didnt wait until a little late in the year. Also quite surprised to see anything at all for that level.

I thought they stopped sending tags out to people who have achieved the same level.... unless they changed that policy again.

The "2022" kits are for the 2022 benefit year, i.e. expiring 31/12/2022. When was the earliest AC sent out kits in the past, back when the benefit year ran from March 1 to February 28/29? Early January, at most? For people to be getting kits for the 2023 benefit year (expriring 31/12/2023) now is unheard of. And bizarre that they would start with mid-tier elites who still have >25% of the year in which they might increase their status and need a new kit. As the cow pointed out, if they're going to send them to anyone this early, it should be the people who have nowhere else to go, to save themselves the expense of sending someone like King Chung Huang a whole other kit in a few weeks.

I hit E50K at the end of 2021, and received a much delayed E50K kit in May 2022. My status hasnt changed in 2022, yet.
