Can someone confirm that the 319's that have power also have it in Y? Is it the standard NA plug unit or the plane type that CP used?
Does WS have in seat power on the new 700's?

If they have the plug in Y it will be a standard wall type outlet;just plug and play. I don't know if they have it in Y on the 319's;I think some A321's have it in the first several rows of Y but know nothing about A319's except in J.

Hi All,
I tried using the power ports for my laptop but I have a high drain system with a larger screen. It would trip the local breaker on my port within 5 minutes of use.
My power supply is higher wattage because of this. Output is 20 V at 4.5 Amp. Its for a dell C840 laptop.
So beware that even if there are plugs, the newer high draw laptop devices may in fact be unusable due to the limitations on how much power can be supplied.

master power button for laptop power is located left of the lighting panel by the front door. if the power is on the button will be lit up. also look for the little blue light by the flooredge of the seat on the aisle if the power is turned on.
the quickest way to tell if your fin has laptop power when you walk onboard is if it has the new green seats with the built in massage feature then it also has lasptop power ports.

A319 (fins 286-298): J/C - all seats Y/C Rows 13, 16, 17, 18 & 19 seats AC & DF
A320 (fins 235-238): J/C - all seats Y/C Rows 15-20 seats AC & DF
A321 (fins 451-460): J/C - all seats Y/C Rows 13-18 seats AC & DF
A330/340 (with the exception of fins 901-906): have in-seat power in J/C only
I'll look into the Embraer for you. I know that the entertainment system is not functional on the 175s presently in service but have heard they will be outfitted in the near future when the 190s start arriving at the end of this year.
Be back soon!

Bumping this up again........
I just found out that some AC aircraft have power ports on them, I had no idea before.... I usually book my transcons on 767s cuz I like the larger planes, and as of yet have never flown on an AC 321. (Been on many a 319/320 though......)
I have a very short trip coming up where I will need to use my laptop on the plane, so I booked YOW-YVR-YUL, both legs in seat 17F on A321s.
I saw some conflicting posts about whether all or almost all 321s have power in the front few rows of Y.... Is there any way to find out the FIN #s of the flight and if they have it or not...... then again I suppose if they don't there's nothing I can do really, although it would be nice to know. I'd like to think AC would use the ones with power on the transcons and the ones without on say the YYZ/YUL/YOW and YVR/YYC however i'm sure it doesn't work that way.......
any help is appreciated!

check seatguru.com. The 321's have power in Y for seats ACDF up to Row 18. I've also noticed that there are a few 320's and 319's flying around with the same hard green seating on the 321's. Most of them also have power ports in the first few rows of Y, and the J seats all have power. I'm assuming that these seats will get replaced eventually when the aircraft head in for cabin upgrades and everyone gets power and PTV's?
