Flights from Mexico City Availability
Every single flight from Mexico City to YYZ/YUL/YVR has no availability between now and Sept 9. Every single flight, every single day, Y0 J0. Are flights really that full or is there some blocking happening?

Mexico-Canada (nonstop) flights
So right now MEX-YVR is sold out until September 11. Air Canada is running a daily 787 and Aeromexico is running a 737.
MEX-YYZ is sold out until Sep 12th.
MEX-YUL has some seats available on August 28 -- it's $2030 one-way.
CUN-YYZ on AC is $2134 one-way on the 29th.
These prices are crazy.
Southbound traffic looks normal but northbound looks completely sold out. Prices look normal connecting via the US, so I'd imagine these are passengers who are unable to transit there, and Air Canada/Aeromexico is unable to meet the demand right now.

The most popular route is through Mexico City. Akbar Travels, a major Indian travel agency, chartered two flights with a Spanish airline to fly from Delhi to Mexico City, where students would then stay and obtain the necessary COVID-19 testing before heading onwards to Canada, the Times of India reported recently.
