Does AC cancel bookings with TK status before flight?

Does AC cancel bookings with TK status before flight?
I have a 2 leg booking with AC and one of the flights got rescheduled for 20 minutes later, which caused my status on the flight to change to TK (from HK), and now they are asking me to confirm the change. Do you know if my reservation will be cancelled shortly before the flight in case I don't confirm?

It's more likely that the system will automatically accept the change at some point well before then.

Yeah I'm not sure what you hope to gain. The button doesn't say "I hereby consent to the new flight schedule and forfeit my right to select other flights at a later date".
It says "Acknowledge new flight". That's all you're doing. Confirming that you've seen the change.
