Feature Requests / Bug Reports
  • More direct links to partner airline "manage booking" pages
  • For points bookings, show how many points were used
  • Sometimes when you have UN segments, it doesn't show the entire PNR
  • How about a one tool using the other: PNR lookup tool could show R space available Y/N if pax isn't already upgraded.
  • Can seat # be a clickable link to carrier manage booking/seat?
  • Display ticket create date/time, helpful to know when reticketed due to schedule change.

As I said, I don't know why it's not working. Posts saying "it's not working" or "me too" are not helpful, and only distract me.

A few days ago I switched it to an old (crappy) version so it would at least provide some information. It's now back up and running with the good version.

HN

Hi team - *love* cowtool and has become a go-to resource - thank you!

I have round-trip paid PY segments from YUL to CDG coming up end of August, and have requested J via e-upgrades. All seems to have processed okay, but now the segments are showing me HN status via cowtool..?

any thoughts? Should I be dialling AC priority line?

I feel old and should know this. What is the difference with HN and HL. I ask as I have two PY Flexible bookings with UG requests. One is points, the other rev. One is showing HN, the other HL. Which is better? Thanks.

Basically, HN means you're not in your clearance window yet. HL means you are.

So... HL is better?

Wife is on redemption PY Flexible, and she shows HL, and I’m on paid PY Lowest and showing HN so this totally makes sense - thank you!

According t the tool, HN stands for "Holding Need" and HK stands for "Holding Confirmed." (I do not have a PNR with HL)

HL would be "waitlisted".

But my explanation above is likely more useful to anyone asking.

Thanks, very helpful (as is the tool). I have a PY lowest rev booking that was rebooked into O due to sched change and another PY AE booking that is flex, but in A. The former is HN, the latter HL, which is of course as it should be. The O and A were confusing me.

Somewhat related DP
originally had YYZ-YVR-TPE on AC+BR (HK status)
flight change email came (TK status), with link to self-pick any options online > changed to nonstop BR YYZ-TPE, then shows HL (waitlisted)

After a week, didn't self-clear, had to call AP and talked to someone after 23 mins, she said the tool is wrong, shouldn't let you waitlist (EVA's own website shows waitlisted also)
Luckily, there is another BR35 YYZ-TPE available 2 days later of original departure date (confirmed with cowtools) and she managed to spend another 20 mins to change to that
all is well now (HK status)

Is it normal for my PNR to show both HL and HK? This is for a flight in Sept/Oct. Booked as Latitude Reward, so eligible for upgrade anytime (when R is available) and being 35K with premium CC, I think it can clear at T-7 days as well?

Yes. You are HK (confirmed) in K class and HL (waitlisted) for R class. There are technically 4 segments on the PNR in this case.

Same. Tried over a few hours and getting same Endpoint Timeout on a PNR. Now that PNR is showing wonky on aircanada.com hence why I was checking it.
