eUps pre-airport for regulars since Amadeus
Since Amadeus; has anyone had experience with eUps clearing 'automatically' before the 24 hour before departure mark?
I don't mean an SE who contacted a Concierge and suddenly 'poof' R space shows up.
I'm looking for evidence of a systematic pre-clearing of eUps that would have most likely been pushed to to the airport for clearing at check in prior to Amadeus switch.

I've had waitlisted upgrades clear a few days out when a flight was J2 or J3 in the past, so I'm not sure you'll be able to figure out whether cleared upgrades are behaving differently than before.

All I can say is that if they are not allowing SDC even for JCZ tickets then that removes one of the big reasons not to pre-clear eUps. The other being last minute purchase.

Just my experience, I had an eUp clear 7 days out that in past experience wouldn’t have cleared until the gate. This is just a data point, and it may have very well cleared in advance regardless, but like I said, in the past I wouldn’t have expected it to.

I flew 889 LHR-YOW on the 21st. J was wide open even showing R space and my two-week old upgrade request did not clear until the flight was closed. I tried emailing a concierge, asking at check-in and again at the lounge. All told me the Amadeus cut-over was temporarily preventing them from clearing the upgrade.

First 'real' opportunity to use eUps this year. Then get the email saying at airport upgrades wont work. Have O class, now 4 days before departure J9-C9-D4-Z4-P0-R0. Not SE, so no access to concierge.
I'm trying to ascertain how true this statement is, and in the meantime channelling my inner Lloyd Christmas...
In light of this, rest assured that we will work diligently to confirm more upgrades ahead of check-in.

Well, I can tell you 5 business seats will now go empty in next few days, if AC cannot resell, which because of current shenanigans will prevent you obtaining an upgrade.
Due to unfortunate family circumstances, just cancelling multi-journey trip, all booked in J, starting this afternoon to Montreal from YVR...
and while I wait...40 minutes now for supposed SE priority line...I feel for you...

This isn't even First World Problems, its closer to 1% problems (OK, maybe 3%?). All in all, DXB-YYZ in PY isn't too bad.

Checked into the flight 24 hours before the flight. Shows 27/29 booked #2 on the waitlist. Sitting in PY, O class; E75K. On the standby page, PY shows as full. #2 on the list, according to the app.
3 hours later, here is the waitlist. 2 people have cleared, who were not on the waitlist earlier. Still 27/29 booked. PY still full for standby. Only other option is SE in Y get upgraded before E75 inO, but they weren’t on the list before and still showing 27/29 booked so where did the J space come from? Anyone have any ideas how these people got their upgrade or is something rotten in Denmark?

Speculating here:
1. They bid for an upgrade.
2. I have no better idea.
3. Since you are still #2 on the list, does it matter? Or is this intellectual curiosity?

Still 27/29 booked, so where did the 2 spots come from?
Just curious.

Not sure. When my upgrades haven't cleared, I tend to check the lists very frequently. I see some things which I don't understand such as the same names appearing under Business and PY upgrade lists. I may have read here that it can happen if someone misconnects and is waiting on the next flight. But from DXB?
