1 way Aeroplan award flight; how to select airline/airport combinations I want?

For a 1 way flight YVR-PVG I want to do it through YVR-TPE(transfer)-PVG, but Aeroplan website won't show the combination I want, I try multi city also failed, so is it the only option for me is to call Aeroplan? will they waive the $30 booking fee or it's YMMV?

Thanks!

I assume you want a one-way with a stopover in TPE?

As far as I know, stopover not allowed on Aeroplan one-ways.

Sure the flights you want are award available on your dates? YVR-TPE has been fairly tight right now, especially in J. Are you seeing space on something like ExpertFlyer or on individual segments?

Multi-city won't work, since by definition there can be no stop-over on a one-way ( although multi-city may allow you to see available combinations).
Yes, you will have to call it in if you find availability.

The website is designed to push AC flights (more revenue to AC with YQ)
You will need to call in and suck it up with the $30+tax fee.
They will not waive it.

Good to check first availability for each leg separately before calling though.

I've always researched an itinerary in segments since options are more likely show that way than as a whole itinerary. But yes, you have to phone and pay the fee.

BR YVR TPE flights are available on their own as well...

Agree with others to call in.
