Who does the assigning? - can you get one of the "J" seats in advance when you book, or is it up to the whim of the GA on the day (in which case, good luck)</font>

airbus320 good line but short of phoning do you have any other suggestions as to how to verify? I get the distinct impression at times when I call to ask such technical questions that they are afraid they are talking to someone with evil intentions (which might include making them work).

I think you would get priority as a status pax, but remember that there may not always be an annotation on your file indicating your status. Presumably you could ask at the time of booking.

Empress, check your source. I was told by Aeroplan that the ZRH - YYZ flights will NOT be Super Comfort, but full Executive First. At least that is what the Aeroplan agent told me!
She said that the only Super Comfort Flight were Glasgow.
Empress you are usually right, but hopefully wrong on this case!

S cabin was mostly full-5 empty seats and meal was crap. They ran out of bottled water half way through and were filling bottles with tap water. At least theseat was a domestic J and I had to use an upgrade from full Y to get it.
