AC Signature Suite concept being rolled out to other Canadian airports beyond YYZ?

YVR expansion will accelerate to to higher pax growth
YVR passenger count soars past 24-million mark in 2017 | Vancouver Sun
The passenger count at Vancouver International Airport broke through 24 million in 2017 prompting the facility to speed up some of its capital projects and rewrite its projections for growth.
I wonder if this brings an opportunity for an SSL for YVR sooner than later. AC did say they'd consider YVR/YUL space permitting, and I'd think that YVR would be prioritized over YUL.

You mean like the YVR Int'l MLL upstairs secret "remodel" project?

YVR does have the need IMO. Having a better lounge will be a good advantage for AC over Asian carriers on TPAC route.

So I flipped through the entire 900+ postings. Did not see any comments about the product expanding to other locations.

Just had dinner with some senior AC people. Vancouver and Montreal will also get the Signature Suite. No timeline discussed but it was mentioned as part of their overall strategy. Also commented they really want to keep the crowds down and they will adjust the admission rules over time as the see how the crowds are.

@zrh2yvr
Thanks for your post

There was some mention of YVR a while back, specifically in reference to what they were planning on doing with the upstairs now that the newer and larger international is open downstairs.

And I was not the only one who suggested that AC would take this approach.

Exclamation

Please note that these posts were carved out of their original location in the New VIP lounge YYZ int'l: Air Canada Signature Suite thread to allow that thread to focus on the YYZ Signature Suite while creating a new thread for discussion about AC adding identical lounges at other Canadian airports.

What, you haven't been invited up there yet? I'd share photos but we signed an NDA.

All I can say is that I'm very happy the sturgeon caviar comes from Vancouver Island. That and the Summerhill Pyramid sparkling wine are nice ways to highlight BC product. But the prime rib was a bit over for my taste. Oh well, next time!

This was discussed here in early December, after AC execs explicitly stated they were going to do that.

There is a bit of conversation that got divided, or overlapped, between this thread an the new one.

In response to the bottom part of my reply to zrh2yvr

Well obviously.

And back then, I was also not the only one who suggested same.

On Dec 1, I wrote:

Either way, today's post reinforces the point that the Signature Suite has a maximum capacity and everyone who thinks they deserve getting in, will not, and as should be expected, Air Canada will track the number of guests and the times and adjust as needed.

Happy weekend

Invited to The Signature Suite? Or some other thing?
The Suite only requires you buy an International Business Class ticket on Air Canada. Not sure they issue "invites".

You need to spend money.
A lot of money.
Not one J fare, but multiples
For a long enough period of time.
....among other things

I assume you realize there are many SEs who do not get invited to AC events.
So, doing the math here.....

Or maybe be a blogger
