This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition and 2017 edition
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. More Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs should be posted elsewhere on FT as should topics better suited to other forums such as Travel Products for questions about luggage or Travel Photography for discussion about cameras.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

I think it would e more fun to do it slower. Realistically I think I'm going to do a couple of 1-2 week trips, hopefully in F.

I have done 12+12 however, and what really sucks is 12h, then transfer to 2h in EU (Y). Done that a number of times, and that really really sucks!

Absolutely. Obviously all of our travel styles and goals are different, but 54 days certainly isn't required. For example, I'm doing YHZ-YYZ-TPE-SIN-ADL-SIN-BKK-ADD-DUB-YYZ-YUL-YHZ in nine days in September (all J). The only goal of this trip was to set foot on the Australian and African continents (two of the three I haven't set foot on yet), so two days in both ADL and ADD accomplish that perfectly. That plus a day in SIN will make for a nice little trip!

So after being inspired by Cow's blog, I also developed a dedicated website for my trip updates.
Prepare for the images, videos, reviews in the form of daily updates with tons of grammar mistakes!
The updates will be daily, with in depth reviews of SAS, CA, AC and BA experiences. I seriously thought about hosting the entire thing in a FT post but realized that the experience may be too hindering.

Personally I think you need to find yourself a chicken bus somewhere.

I can still remember portions of a bus ride I had in Peru. Due to fog visibility was about 50m, didn't stop the driver overtaking everyone on the two lane road. It's a miracle we made it alive - it wasn't that empty.

I hadn't forget you guys.
The 11 hour shore excursions (each almost 13KM of walk)daily have been pretty tiring. I will try to catch up on the daily posts the day after when I have a Sea day.

I am going to the Bruins/Lightning game Sunday afternoon in TPA and may have an extra ticket. Is there anyone that will be in TPA Sunday afternoon that would like to go?
Great seats, 14 rows from the ice, just inside the blue line. Downside is that you would have to sit with me!
Oh, and no Bruins jerseys allowed!

So the Jays just beat Cleveland 13-11 in an 11 inning game that was delayed for 2 hours by rain. And now they are about to start the second game of a double header. Today was supposed to be a rest day but it rained too much in April.
They play Tampa Bay tomorrow. I bet the Rays are laughing all of their body parts off. Those guys are going to be exhausted.
