Suggestions for Earning 20k AQMs

Sitting at 79,038 AQMs with no revenue travel planned for the rest of the year. AQD threshold already met.

Still not decided on whether I want to requalify for SE next year given the impending AC/AP uncertainty.

Open to ideas to earning the 20,962 required miles, ideally over US Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 23-26). Willing to pay ~USD2k for discounted J, PE, or Latitude.

And Sydney doesn't seem plausible at US$2k...

There is some sale on J tickets on EVA, yyz to tpe. Maybe similar sale from sfo to tpe.

Sounds like fun! I'm also sitting on about 80,000 AQM and very close to 20,000 AQD. Doing something stupid is tempting.

TPE in PY is decently priced ($1600-$1700 CAD) at the moment and from the East coast it is about 20k AQM.

Plus you get 3x Aeroplan miles for the YVR-TPE leg if book before Nov 11 (current public promo).

Certainly something I would consider if I were that close to 100k AQM.

The OP needs AQM, so they have to be on an AC ticket. That might be possible for EVA out of YYZ, but I don't think you can get AC to ticket SFO to TPE.

Edit: Nope, I was wrong ... see below.

Just thought to correct that since the OP need AQM, hence, it just need to be *A that can earn status miles. No need to be an AC ticket.

It is AQD that need to be 014 stock for non AC metal.

UA is offering ~ $493.80 CAD RT LAX - SIN in K, but you'd have $1000 left over to spend on chiropractor sessions for 68 hours in UA Y

Thanks for all the helpful tips and suggestions, everyone! Still noodling over the decision and will report back.

I particularly liked this response:

This TPE in PY route sounds interesting- with my 100% altitude bonus and the 3X aeroplan miles... However, I am having a hard time making the AC website price this for me- is see the each-way pricing of ~$850-$900 in N class, and after I select these, I get an error...

There seems top be an issue with the PE Domestic portion booking into N- ie YYZ-YVR and YVR-YYZ....

It did work one time, but put me in B on all the Domestic flights, even though they have a PE cabin.
