Discount code not working

After a cancelled flight I was given the opportunity to get discount codes from Air Canada. I went online and after giving the information it would not work. Called reservations and was told there was nothing they could do. Tickets are held for 48 hrs. Nothing can be e-mailed. I was told that I would have to contact customer care to get working discount codes. That would be by e-mail and I am waiting over 2 weeks to receive a response from customer care about a past issue.

How much is the discount code for and is there any other way to get them? Air Canada rep told me to wait to get the code before booking unless I possibly want a voucher to use in the future. I do not want that at all and am using these flights to use vouchers I already have. I am afraid of Air Canada and their lack of regard of passengers.

I have an outstanding issue from March where they still owe me $750 for making me pay a change fee on a P fare TATL when it specifically said in the fare rules and on the website I didn't have to.... it's now Sept 30th.....

Still waiting for a response. Filed a complaint with Transport Canada over an issue from April.

I find that their IRROPS discount codes work about 2/3rds of the time.

I've had so many of these that when they fail I don't bother pursuing it. I have no more energy for all the shenanigans AC throws at us.

(and yes, RCHHMP will tell me to stop flying AC despite me residing near the flagship hub and requiring to go to destinations that AC services direct non-stop and no other airline can out of YYZ).

I eventually was given codes directly to my e-mail. Went to use them and they are now allowed for discount fares. I did not know that until I contacted Air Canada again and asked why they would not work.
