Aeroplan Points with Central Mountain Air?

Aeroplan Points with Central Mountain Air?
I have flown before with Central Mountain Air, and received points. But at my last check in they said they no longer give Aeroplan points. Are there certain flights that qualify? Or is this change very recent? Anyone know?

I think it has to be booked as an AC codeshare to qualify.

Checked the A.P. website. Central Mountain Air is no longer listed as an A.P. partner. No more miles for your flights.

I checked under Airlines on the first page and Central has been removed. Looking for my last statement to see if it has been removed from the back of that. Can't find it.

I think the confusion stems from the AC route cuts last winter in the west. AC dropped some routes that CMA was flying for them. CMA decided to keep flying some of these routes on their own, but without the AC codeshare. These routes no longer earn Aeroplan miles.

As long as you're booked under AC flight numbers, you will continue to earn Aeroplan points that count towards status.

I guess the real question is are there any CMA/AC codeshare's left ?

There are flights such as YYC/YXC that still have AC flight numbers.

Currently, the 6x daily YVR-YYF (Penticton) are all operated by CMA and earn Aeroplan miles. CMA offers daily flights from YXX to YXS as well as YLW and those don't offer Aeroplan miles.

Almost forgot, there are 2x daily YYC-GEG flights which are CMAs only transborder services. 500 miles each way - but the fares are nuts on this route.

Thank you all for your mass of knowledge. It all does become somewhat clear in a baffling way. How does one determine if a flight is an AC codeshare flight? 4 digit flight number?

The CMA flights marketed with AC will show up as flights AC 72XX in most cases. These are the ones that are eligible for Aeroplan accumulation. The website www.flycma.com gives more details.
