That was when they had every few aircraft with PY. We do not know what the price will be. Let's say it's $75 to $100(YYZ-YVR) more than a preferred seat. At that price, they will sell the product.

But what does that mean?

$100 more than a preferred seat in Flex? In Tango? In Latitude?

Before it made sense to buy flex on wide body for e50k+..because even if you don't get upgrade you get PY for free... not anymore.

I better buy my return ticket ASAP then select 14C.... sigh

Yes, well maybe not Lat. That should be free. In other words, you are buying the seat, not the fare.

Agree, it was pretty disingenuous AFTER double the price of those seats already.

Little disappointed this is happening but, definitely saw it coming. My main concern is eupgrades to the J cabin. If domestic PY does become similar to narrowbody J, does AC then up the amount of eupgrades credits for J and use the current amount for upgrading to PY? I know it's too early for an answer but it concerns me a little bit. Really hoping as others have said there will be upgrades for status pax if empty.

We already went through that for international flights.

PY was introduced using fewer credits. J did not change.

Where does AC fly their non 763 wide bodies in NA? I see a lot of YVR-YYZ of all sorts (which makes sense given YVR is Pacific hub and YYZ is everything else hub), some YVR-YUL but YYC-YYZ is always 763s. Anywhere else for mainline fleet?

YYZ-LAX (789), a mix on YYZ-YUL depending on the day. YYZ-SFO is getting a 787 for the summer.
