AP Acrual on US Airways/UA

Can we get Aeroplan miles on AC if we're travelling on a US Airways/UA flight WITH a secondary UA flight number (UA 2834) ?

I believe this was discussed before and the answer is no. You cannot accumulate miles on UA flights that are codeshare with someone else.

That's right - you can't get any Aeroplan miles on a UA flight number operated by US Airways.

When booking UA flights, keep in mind the following new UA transatlantic routes are operated by US Airways metal - not Star Alliance carriers:

UA 2712 PHL-MAD A-330-300
UA 2711 MAD-PHL A-330-300
UA 2748 PHL-CDG B-767-200
UA 2726 PHL-CDG A-330-300
UA 2749 CDG-PHL B-767-200
UA 2727 CDG-PHL A-330-300
UA 2702 PHL-FCO A-330-300
UA 2703 FCO-PHL A-330-300
UA 2742 PHL-AMS B-767-200
UA 2743 AMS-PHL B-767-200

Good news is these flights feature award-winning Envoy Class, bad news is you can't earn Aeroplan miles

Please help! This is in the same general genre!

Paging FlyerAl, too!

I am booked early next week to fly YHZ-BOS-DCA on Air Canada Jazz, connecting to US Airways Shuttle @ BOS. It was booked through United.com

Is there any way that UA or AC can appoint my 1st portion YHZ-BOS (AC) to Aeroplan and my 2nd BOS-DCA (US) to my US Airways account? I couldn't help but notice US Airways has a triple bonus for Shuttle flights right now!!!

Is this possible? Is it done ever??? Thank you everyone!

When you check-in at YHZ for your BOS flight, make sure your Aeroplan number is in the reservation. I don't think AC would be able to issue connecting boarding passes on the US Airways Shuttle operated flight, so when you check-in at BOS at the US Airways Shuttle counter give them your Dividend Miles number. This way you'd earn AC miles on the AC-operated flights and US miles on the US-operated flights.

It's actually triple miles for both your USAir AND UA account. Promotion specifially say that you will earn triple miles for both your USAir and UA account at the same time. So 6 times the miles!

Oh yes, I forgot about the 6x Shuttle promotion! Register your Dividend Miles account online at http://www.usairways.com/dividendmiles/7270.htm and give both your Dividend Miles and Mileage Plus account numbers when you check in for your US Airways Shuttle flights. You'll get triple miles in each account.

this policy is pretty well standard on all airlines. They usually will not give you points from another program if it is a codeshare flight operated by a different airline.
