Flights to Cuba with Air Canada
Hello,
Now that the commercial relations to Cuba are beginning to normalize and since a significant number of US airlines are going to flight there, I was wondering if Air Canada is going to change its policy.
Right now if you want to buy a ticket to Cuba you need to buy it on Air Canada Vacations with all the inconveniences coming with it (seat selection by phone, PNR not available easily, etc.). Also you can't redeem miles at the normal rate, you only have a "miles for cash" system which is not very favourable.
Does Air Canada or Aeroplane have communicated about their plan if any?
Thanks!
Matthieu

Rouge flies to Havana with scheduled service and no requirement to book via AC Vacations if that helps.
Edit - I just checked an apparently you're right that it now automatically reverts to AC Vacations. The last time I flew to HAV I didn't think this was the case.
