Sorry for the newbie question, but what does PLH stand for? It is not in the glossary.

Premium Long Haul, referring to Air Canada's transcontinental J service on certain routes.

Did you look for logos? Did it come from UA? AA?

Not quite. Transcontinental Business Class is much newer than PLH, and refers to the seat (lie flat). Whereas PLH is based on route (and excludes the E90), and I believe only impacts catering.

PLH service is offered on many 319/320/321 flights.

Ah - thanks for the clarification!

And sorry for disseminating misinformation!

I read in Report on Business recently that AC has strong desires to expand Rouge beyond 50 airframes. This will require some renegotiating with the unions but apparently AC is all gung-ho on this one and the unions are potentially interested.

The de-logoing of items may be an early attempt at cost cutting to better enable cross-fleet issuing of cutlery, glasses etc.

I decided to see what the "situation" was on my recent 872

AC logos on glasses. Check.
AC logo on napkin. Check.
AC logo on tablecloth. Nope.
AC cutlery.....Check.

Forgot to check for buttonholes.

There's AC logo on tablecloth? I don't think mine had it on PVG-YYZ or YVR-YUL, or I just never paid attention to it?

But on all of cutlery and glasses they were there. (I checked just for you Sean :P)

You need to fly rouge. They had the AC logo glasses.

Below is the post from the revered yyznomad, (from a previous Forum Lounge thread), commenting on the missing napkin buttonholes.

I've included an addition to my collection of photos of napkins with buttonholes from other airlines. This one is from SQ.

(I was going to post this in the Forum Lounge thread, but the conversation over there has taken a serious tone with seizing phones and dick pics.....)

First time I've seen the little AC tag on the tablecloth - and you know I look for these distractions.

Cutlery seems to belong to AC.
