I found an image of the Accès no. cards for immigration/security. Purple with orange writing. You're right that they collect them, but I've certainly known people who chose not to use them when there was no line, with the idea that they could use it on a future visit if they didn't get one because they were flying in Y that time.

Oh, I don't have that card, that's an image I found through Google, from an FT trip report of all places

I hadn't departed CDG on an AC flight in a while, so the "new" lounge on the bottom floor of the mushroom was a new experience for me this morning.
Food they have out is okay but not exactly great - glad I had a full breakfast at the hotel this morning before I came out to CDG. Not too busy either, and the fact that the people on the flight to YYZ are clearing out to board just as the people on the flight to YUL are starting to show up probably helps that. Best thing I can say is the little cubicles they have provide a good spot to work on my laptop. Although the WiFi is rather slow, even by MLL standards.
Food spread on the right hand side of the lounge.
And on the left-hand side, where they had meat / cheese / bread.

CDG MLL lounge hours
If you take the CDG-YVR direct flight (AC807) you might find the MLL lounge closed when you arrive at the gate.
The lounge opens at 7:30am, Boarding is 8:45am.
I'm normally early so it's no big deal but I did think it would have been open earlier.

I think the OP was just commenting on the limited time one has to "enjoy" the CDG MLL prior that AC operated flight.
But in basically, this follows the general rule of "one hour before the first (AC) flight" for any MLL, IMHO.

That I should know the answer to. Also pretty sure there’s an appropriate thread somewhere but @24left isn’t here to keep me in line.
Can I use the CDG MLL on arrival?

AFAIK you need an onward boarding pass to be allowed into airside connections for T2A. Otherwise you get funneled into Schengen entry passport control and spit out to groundside/luggage carousels.
I honestly can't remember any portion of the glassed-in walkway leading to passport control where one can simply go into the departure area of 2A as a non-Schengen connection.

I'm assuming you're not connecting to anywhere else at all; physically, no.

Oh well. I will beg the hotel for early check in.
MODS - please delete. Sorry for the clutter.

There is no way to access MLL if not connecting. Trust me, I’ve tried many times. As stated above, the glass walled corridor shunts you to passport control. My recollection is there an escalator somewhere along the corridor to get up to passport control. Renovated washrooms right near that escalator.
Also no “arrivals” lounge like at LHR. Once with a longish wait to leave for downtown, I used the chapel. Very quiet and peaceful.
