Interesting military style layout though.

I hated the CP DC10 Y 2x5x2 configuration.
I also do not see the BAe 146.

AC had them in the Summer and Eastern in the Winter.
The aircraft were owned by Hawes-Turner leasing and not Eastern or Air Canada.

Transat ended up with the two Eastern/Air Canada L1011s, C-FTNA / C. They also ended up with C-FTNH/L later on but their C-FTNB was not the ex Air Canada machine. #confusing

These were operated by AirBC and AirNova and as mentioned, seems this survey excludes regional carriers and their planes.
One of AC's -- well TCA's -- SuperConnies is resting at Seattle's aviation museum in its original livery.
Those were ex-Pacific Western planes that flew the YYC-YXD-Ft. Mac shuttles, inherited by CP when it bought the Alberta government owned airline. PWA was actually an AC regional partner and also operated a fleet of 762s..
Hmmm how could we not know that?
Always liked this plane, particularly flying it in F to LHR. Collected several Group of Seven paintings that were the AC gift for a year or two back in the mid-80s. Always wondered about the FA that got stuck in the belly galley who fed items up to the main deck by "elevator".
My first AC plane was the North Star, flying to Florida during the late 50s from a tiny Malton airport. We could hardly wait for them to finish the futuristic Aeroquay terminal building in the early 60s. It was a special occasion to have a fancy dinner in the terminal's French restaurant overlooking the runways. The restaurant later became AC's MLL.

Yes, and CP's Fokker 28 was also missing.

That brought back a memory! My first trip the UK was on CP, and the return to Canada I was in the middle of the 5, with two elderly couples on either side of me - at least they seemed elderly, as I was 22 then; and they talked nonstop to each other and to me for the entire trip. I would have paid a lot for some earplugs.

I'm just finding this thread but I really enjoyed it, very comprehensive and informative list. I had no idea that the DC-9 is the aircraft that served the longest in AC's fleet. Thanks for sharing ^
