Reward booking seat assignment

You don't even need to go to ac.com, on manage your rewards on AP you will see an option for seat selection under each redemption.

Sure but this takes you to ac.com anyway.

Very true. The least AC/AE could have done is let AE provide the booking details in the URL when linking to the AC site. But I suppose I'm expecting too much.

That is what most companies do. Well, ok, most companies with half decent IT people that know what they are doing.

Can't count ac/ae among those companies.

And then when you add booking ref and surname to ac.com when you go to change seats it says not available and refers you to the 'other booking site' seat selection tool where you have to enter your booking ref and surname again.

After clicking select seats and then on the seat map it errors once more:
Seat Map not available. Invalid compartment designator code. ( 2012 )
Why is this so difficult?

Selecting seats for Aeroplan redemptions seems to be working now (again).
