redeye 156 YVR YYZ - the night of the Heritage Classic
I was in row 6.
Glenn Healey in 4A.
Elliotte Friedman in 2A.
Some other HNIC crew in J but did not recognize them other than their CBC/HNIC paraphernalia.
(side note: the oft 777HD on this flight was scheduled as a 333 but on a whim I booked my favourite J seat number on a regular 77W/77L in case it would be upgauged to it... and indeed it was upgauged )

Forgot to post a while ago that I was in the YYZ MLL and saw a guy dressed in dark clothing with long dark hair and thought to myself "Who is this musician wannabe?". After a harder look I realized it was no wannabe but Rob Baker from the Hip and he was on his way to YGK.

Al little late but February 26th YEG MLL, said hi to Mike Holmes of Holmes on Homes fame as he got his crown & coke. A group of YMM FFs were trying to get a picture with him which he gently declined. My definition of a YMM FF - typically a SE, wears denim and workboots, about 1/2 of them carry a hardhead, prefers beers to cocktails, slightly louder than a corporate MLLer, most noticeable when sighted with backpacks or jackets with certain megaproject name embossed on it. They may look somewhat out of place in YYZ MLL but in YEG MLL, they are in their elements.

If you do have to fly:
•Try to minimize the number of flights you take by combining trips. For example, book more than one meeting in your destination city, so you don't need to fly there several times.
•Fly the most direct route possible, since take-offs and landings use the most fuel.
•Fly during the daytime, because studies have shown that flights taken at night have a greater impact on the climate.
•Fly economy, because more people per plane means fewer emissions per person.
•Pack light, because lighter planes mean less fuel is burned.
•Purchase carbon offsets to account for the emissions from your flight. See our carbon neutral webpage for more information. If the airline or travel agent you are using doesn't currently offer its customers the option of offsetting their flights, ask them to consider it.
