I have, "many" of which I do not personally or otherwise agree with. I have sent PMs when I have a particular issue with a post and left it there.

Hurt that I'd sell you one for $2k, or hurt that I wouldn't?

LOL, this is exactly what I'm doing!

So do I take it that no one cares who is behind this so long as the drinks are free?
Ken, I don't give a crap if the drinks are free or not. For me, this is a chance to meet other FTers in real life, a rare opportunity. Since I'll be driving I'm going to limit myself to one drink max anyways.

I assume that everyone attending is an adult, able to control themselves, and say that they've had enough. I also assume that we're experienced enough at life to recognize a snow job or high pressure tactics, and act accordingly if the sponsor has some nefarious purpose behind the open bar. I've certainly taken advantage of open bars at enough conferences and trade shows thanks to sponsors and vendors.

You're not even going anyways, why the concern?
I'm not concerned about any of these things. I'm just surprised that people aren't more curious about the missing, shadowy presence behind the scenes.

Maybe some are too distracted by the words "open bar"
I know others like a good mystery
And a few just like a mysterious open bar

Maybe many of us (although curious) really just do not care about the "missing, shadowy presence behind the scenes"

I took into consideration - briefly - and decided I didn't care what was going on behind the scenes and look forward to meeting other people.

Oh, does this mean I can't pick up a +1 at Granville the night before?

Would like to come...could manage some of the weekend visiting family in YLW...but schedule seems too hectic at the moment....putting down as 'Regrets', but will change that if I am able.

I'm actually hoping it's timeshares, the free booze is just a bonus.
