You can fly to YCD on Harbour Air for next to nothing. i guess YYJ is too much of a hotspot.

A little late but .....

Thank-you to the organizers and those who sponsored the YVR Do! Great fun to meet others and put faces and names to handles. A lot of work, many thanks.

(Nice shirt too!)

Cheers,

+1. Better late than never (applies to both this post and the night of the event).

My Turn

I'd like to thank Sean Peever, my amazing co-host, who provided great solutions and suggestions, and kept us all calm.

Thanks to Dorian for providing the venue, drinks, appetizers and amazing gifts. Outstanding.
If he hadn't been "banished from the Continuum", I might never have suggested we celebrate his triumphant return to FT.

Thanks to the extremely generous contribution by our Anonymous Host.

Thanks to Tessa for the best-ever macarons in the gift mug and for the cupcakes and cookies at the event.
The cookie dough filling and that frosting......wow!

Ken, thanks, pot stirred, mystery encouraged....nicely done.

It was a fantastic event and as others have said, this YVR Do Special Edition set the bar quite high.

It was only my second FT Do and both were in YVR. It was great to see familiar FTers and to meet so many new ones.
It was pretty impressive that so many of us flew in for the event.

There were two types of baked goods that I missed out on? Damn. I may have to take a trip out to actually get a cupcake.

Or maybe you can host the next Do at YVR! I wonder how a cow could make cupcakes since cows don't have opposable thumbs

Yes you did. Some of were standing in the right place at the right time to enjoy cupcakes and those decadent chocolate chip cookies.

Well it would appear that I am last to post here, and for that I would like to say sorry. For those of you who I did get to know a bit better and chat with, you know what's going on. For those of you who don't - my non-FT life has been very crazy recently (good crazy) which is what has caused many of my delays, my apologies.

Dorian - Cannot thank you enough for everything you did. You are one of those people who I tell stories about and the reply I get is "wow, there are people who are really like that? That's amazing, I want to meet him", along with how they cannot believe how generous you are.

Anonymous person - Well, I cannot say much or else you won't remain anonymous, but wow! You are truly an amazing individual, and have earned my respect and appreciation!

24Left - I think it's pretty fair to say that everything could not have happened without you. Your ability to round up people, get things going, promote, and your commitment to FT and it's community are amazing! When you become a FT legend (and I have no doubt of this) I am going to be proud to say "I knew them back when they were starting out". Anytime you are in Vancouver, I would be honoured to have some of your time.

Now as for some others!

Lights - The conversations I have with you are always a pleasure! Still very jealous of what you do.

YEG2MM - one day I too hope to be a 2MM, and you inspire be with the business edge you have found

Adam.Smith - my offer still stands. I know you thought I was joking - I'm not.

Cow - Let me know how everything goes

SAP - Didn't get a chance to chat with you as much as I wanted to, but it was great to see you again! Next time, we need to talk more!

Drunk Cargo - So so so very interested to see or hear what you do one day.

And to ALL others, thank you for coming out and making this DO awesome! The turnout was amazing, place was packed, conversation was fun, and the unique group of people was what makes this whole community amazing.
