On this note, and further to my earlier question, are there any airlines that release more than 2 J seats for TATL? I won't bother wasting time searching if I know it never happens.

I've seen up to 8 on Turkish, and especially now I'd expect it to be more common

Thank you... I'm looking for 3 to WAW so it's good to know there's hope, although I guess I'd have to weigh the relative merits of dragging two kids the extra distance to IST vs. just taking the quick route on LO Y

8 though, that's something. Didn't expect that.

I just booked 4 of us on ZRH-YUL in J.

from my searches of last 2 months for Summer 2017 to Europe
I see 4 J in TK, UA, AC/ACr, LH, OS
- obviously I avoided high YQ carriers if possible

Didn't look for LX ex-YUL though

Awesome, thanks guys. Good to know there are options.

I guess LO and SN are out of the question... too bad. LX could be nice though.

Some of it is a function of the cabin size too.

Lot's Dreamliners only have 18 business class seats whereas Turkish has 28 in the a330 and low j 77w, and 49 in the high j layout

Get J for kids and you stay in Y. They will love it. Or try YYZ-ZRH-WAW, YYZ-BRU-WAW.

I typically find it easier to get the long haul in J/F then the short haul.

I want fly to ZRH.

LAX-FRA in F and FRA-ZRH in J, no problem. SFO-LAX has ample X space, but no Y.

Wow that's just evil. Your fellow J flyers would hate you.

Not to mention it's not allowed, minors under a certain age (14?) must have an accompanying adult seated directly beside them.

I take it back and kids are not welcomed in J when I travel.

I've seen an AC FA upgrade an unaccompanied minor to domestic J, presumably so it'd be easier to keep tabs on him?

Cheers

I recall as a kid flying J (or was it F) as a kid on Austrian so I would be easier to keep track of as well. They gave me a box of chocolates, I worked on staying over weight and preventing myself from having a high-school girlfriend and everyone was happy.

im stumped.
just pieced together a great itinerary, had it confirmed and the AE phone agent told me i had $330 in YQ... My math had me in at JUST over $200.

YUL-->PEK-->BKK (STOPOVER 1) (AIR CHINA next to no YQ $73 in taxes)
BKK--> PVG (STOPVER 2) (THAI minimal YQ $27.60 in taxes)
PVG--> ICN (DESTINATION) (ASIANA minimal YQ $96.90 in taxes)
ICN-->YUL (RETURN) (AC, YQ waived out of SK $37.50 in taxes)

She quoted me at $550 total with $330 of that in YQ...
I asked if she had accidentally put me in premium economy for the return leg, but nope.

Am I missing something? Is there a hidden cost i'm not flushing out in piecing these together as 1-ways?

Thanks in advance--

Why would YQ be waived for ICN-YUL on AC? that'd be my guess
Only ex-HKG or ex-Japan(?) have YQ-limited

Just test with Multi-city online, and take out stop 1 or stop 2, to estimate
or do a one-way on ICN-YUL and you'll see the crazy YQ
