Remind me to tell you all my YWG CATSA story series. I'll never divulge here, but it's great fireside storytelling for a do.

Looks like we'll need some popcorn and lounge chairs. :D

yyckerr Jan 23, 2015 6:39 pm

Lol. One more hint because it's funny.

Part 1 involved a Polaroid camera, 10 packs of film, a 3' steel chain, and a large crescent wrench. 100% true.

What's new with CATSA? They continue to be complete and incompetent morons.

What's new with the NEXUS lines? The same. Utter stupidity.

Ah, so you read posts #156-170?

Curious, how many posts does one need to be a FT Evangelist?

I hate it when the NEXUS lines merge with the regular security lines. I always get dirty looks from people as I "budge" in front of them.

I saw a bit of a confrontation in YHZ, because the regular line basically wasn't moving, as people are coming to the NEXUS line about as fast as people were moving through security, so for about 5 minutes, this one woman stood at the front of the regular line. She started shouting at the guy who was letting us cut in front :p

Hiding in the ANA....

Further to a suggestion, my plan is to hide something in the lounge @ NRT (sat # 5). I'll have to think about what ......
I know Sparseflyer is going to look
I'll update once placed :D

Actually a higher climb rate is easier to achieve at higher altitudes.

How could that be? Power goes roughly with air density. Which drops quite fast with elevation. Additionally the lower stall speed limit goes up with altitude.

You're right. I just discussed this with an A320 driver and he set me straight. At that altitude a swept wing jet is flying so close to stall speed that an attempt to pitch up aggressively and convert speed to climb would risk a stall. I'm accustomed to a turboprop which has about 140 kts surplus above stall at high altitude. My bad.

It might hint at what happened with QZ8501.

We should have a piece of paper taped underneath a desk at one of the computers. Then, you would write down your FT profile name and put it back.

Would be cool, at least I think :D

Ah the feeling of superiority :D

So I called SPG for a minor issue. Cold showers at the Westin last week. They gave me 11k points. They treated me VERY respectfully. (I wasn't seeking compensation, just sharing feedback as I go there a LOT). The guy truly was appreciative of my business as a Plat member. He offered me the max as he figured I wasn't point whoring. AC should learn a thing or two from SPG.

This is basically geocaching. Except for FTers in lounges. And no GPS

Should call it loungecaching and start a website.

Well I have a photo of me in my ridiculous getup with a gate agent and a concierge.

They liked it so much they took a bunch of photos themselves :p. And we did it behind the counter at the gate, so it was quite a show for everyone.

But they didn't realize I was actually SE until I came up for zone 1 boarding

Next up, I'll try to get my ACr crew :p
