LHR MLL - All urinals out of order
 

Exciting news out of LHR MLL - all urinals are out of order - no ETA.

Hello from the YYZ int'l MLL. I am happy to report that all urinals are working here. :p

Now off to HND.

I'm betting at ANA lounge HND, all will be working and sparkling.

Probably with chocolate sprinkles on top as well.

Edit: With a box of this next to the sink.

Next September, I am traveling CDG > YUL > LAX. I am a Citi Prestige / PP Select card holder. With that itinerary, will I be able to enter the lounge? First time going international since I actually knew of these things!

Japan... what a joke that Canada is when it comes to being clean and functioning all the time.

Looks like you can access "Salon ICare" at CDG with your PP membership. Sadly there's no lounge accessible to you at YUL.

Reminder to those who don't fly far away often or just don't fly too often:

Just because you are taking off from airport X does not mean that everyone's body clock is of or near X's time zone. In fact, some of your fellow pax may be on time zone X+/-6,8,10,14,etc hours, so their sleeping/eating/nature break habits will most likely be completely other-side-of-the-world from yours.

Will be at the HND NH lounge tomorrow (Monday Japan time) for AC006.
If any fellow FTer is going to be there would be nice to say hi, have some sake, and then get back to work on my iPad :)

As I was leaving the lounge I thought too bad they don't do take-out

I always (with remorse) stuff myself to the hilt in that lounge... then I ask for the Flex meal 6 hours into the flight... then end up getting the hot noodle soup and dim sum instead!

I was thrilled to beat the "breakfast rush" at the Sake tasting station, and even had time to buy some treats :D

Now here in the HND NH lounge for the next few hours. Just inhaled my squid ink fried noodles, chicken nuggets, and french fries. Burp.

What will you exhale?

Served in the same heater dish as the chicken nuggets. They actually are "wedge" style fries.

And no, I don't take pictures... makes me look like a total noob :D

I love how the cleaning staff in the HND NH lounge clean like their lives depended on it.

The way they sweep the floor so methodically and precisely. The way they go over the same clean spots at least three times before moving on.

Absolutely incredible.

Makes the YYZ int'l MLL look like a complete failure when it comes to their sometimes surly and lazy contract staff.

This place puts the rest of the world to shame.

Well, I like them. Wish they had plum or sweet and sour sauce though. First World problems.

I dipped them in some sauce that was in packet along the wall with other condiments.

I counted easily a dozen of them sweeping, wiping, picking up dishes.
They had the coolest carpet thing, like a lint roller on a long broomstick.
I assumed that this was better than a loud vacuum while there were guests in the lounge.


Let's compare. HND washroom, where not a finger print was to be seen on a single surface, not a drop of water, pristine.....and MLL YYZ TB. The sign was there for a month and desk ladies said they'd requested repairs but no one showed up.

This is like comparing apples to oranges.

Some brat here (that I really wanted to punch for being a nuisance) in the HND NH lounge spilled his drink all over his couch, the table next to him, and all over the carpet in front of him. As soon as that happened, a lounge attendant was right on top of it speaking into her earpiece thingie asking for resources to assist in the cleanup. Within a minute one of the cleaning guys was here to wipe everything down, remove stains, and dry the area.

In the YYZ Int'l MLL the contract staff will simply slap a sign saying not to sit there and then take another hour to casually clean it up in a half-@s$ed manner.

Main reason I started that thread on changing AC culture. A customer shouldn't care that it's some contract staff that works for AC/MLL. The service level of AC is just not acceptable if it chooses to compete with 5* international airlines, which it is trying to do. Comparing oneself to UA - fine, no problem, AC comes out ahead. But where AC is trying to go? I dunno, I think it's a stretch.

Is it just me or have AC phone res agents been more competent/friendly? I've called into the E75K line which is served by regular agents. Much more friendly and competent. Is it just me?
