Priority check in

I'm wondering if I loose my elite status this year, dropping me to Prestige, can I still use priority check-in at United counters in the states? Or if not, can the Maple Leaf Club Card be used for this.

Priority check-in in the US is a big one for me.

thx, TCF

I am pretty sure Prestige and Maple Leaf Club Card only gets you J check-in at Air Canada operated airports.

I remember reading about some exceptions about P getting you J check-in at some airports in Europe.

[Someone correct me if I'm wrong, my head is not too clear after flying so many days in a row!]

Per Star Alliance Benefits, UA does not allow Silver Members (Prestige), priority check-in. This is the case with all Star Partners. As Prestige, AC does allow priority checkin though.

And to the original poster, don't count on going from Elite to PRestige if you earn <18K, AC didn't do that this year.

Of course if you're flying >18K then you'll get Prestige.

Yeah, I'm at Prestige already this year, but I think I'm going to be about 3-5K short of Elite. Too much business in Western US this year.

Amazing, I feel like I'm always on an AC flight and I only have 20K status miles this year. The rules for flights within Canada are a killer. 800 Miles for Edmonton to Toronto. (38 hour drive) 500 for Chicago to Indianapolis (3 hour drive).
