I am flying 3 April MUC-YYZ in Business.
As booked it was a A333, now i saw it changed to 77L.
Can you tell me, if its the refurbished version,or the old one with the heringbones?
Thank you.

Aircraft are not route specific and you have pretty much a 50/50 shot. Of the 6
77L's:
Fins 702/703/706 are completed
Fin 705 is in progress (may be completed)
Fin 701/704 are in the original configuration.

Aircraft assignment may change right up until departure date. Given the rotation of these aircraft, checking the day before should be reasonably accurate.

I'm on AC 848 YYZ-LHR tonight. It is now showing a 777W. So Am I too assume this is not one of the new refurbished ones?

All 777-300's (original/HD/refurbished) are classified as 77W.

AC848 currently is operating with fin 735 (a 3-class newbie!) 40J/24PY/336Y.

Safe flight.

Lately they have been refurbed planes on that route.

Flying YYZ-YVR next week and my return flight is on a 77W. When I originally booked it showed as the old two-cabin configuration, so I booked and paid for a preferred seat (19H). Looking at the flight today the seat map now shows it has been swapped to an HD, but when I sign in to my booking I was still shown in 19H, which is not a preferred seat in this configuration. I was able to make a change myself, but really AC how hard is it to keep customers who paid for preferred seats in preferred seats when there is an equipment swap??

Been watching this thread since it started, great job keeping it updated ^

Family and I fly out next Thursday YVR-YYZ and we are all in J and its a 77W HD aircraft, odds are low that it may be switched to a newbie as the wife has yet experience the new suites with the 18 inch flat screens. But I keep hoping

I think the point is that this shouldn't be an IT limitation. This is actually something that is really easy to deal with! The problem is a business case needs to be made to justify doing it. And inexperienced IT Directors don't know how to make a business case that shows saved time and frustration with Gate Agents, FA's, and Customer Service.

What about the a330s? Previously they talked about them being refurbished to add Py I seem to recall in 2015-2016, but no word yet....

Planned -- Fall 2016 AFAIK, presumably after the Summer rush.

I really wish they code the 77W differently, like CX do

4 versions of 77W is just crazy. Luckily I'll still be on 3-3-3 77W for CDG-YYZ this month, whew

Boeing 777-300ER (77W) Two Class (Most Common)
Open Suite Business (Rows 1-11)
Standard Economy (Rows 18-63)

Boeing 777-300ER (77W) Three Class V1
Flat Bed Business (Rows 1-7)
Standard Premium Economy (Rows 12-14)
Standard Economy (Rows 18-63)

Boeing 777-300ER (77W) Three Class V2
Flat Bed Business (Rows 1-11)
Standard Premium Economy (Rows 12-14)
Standard Economy (Rows 18-64)

Boeing 777-300ER (77W) Three Class V3
Flat Bed Business (Rows 1-7)
Standard Premium Economy (Rows 12-14)
Standard Economy (Rows 18-63)

I thought CDG-YYZ was a 788 route? In which case 3-3-3 is the same size as 3-4-3 777.

Even if it is a 777 route, the likelihood of you getting an old one is low at this point. There are only 2x 77W and 2x 77L flying in the old config (plus a 77W in maintenance).

777 route. A refurb one at that.
