For those of you who have flown the refurbished 400 seat (40J, 24PY, 336Y) 777-300 in PY, any feedback on the differences between rows 12, 13 and 14?
Anyone with feedback on the PY rows on the 789?
Booked in 13A and 13C for both and wondering if the bulkhead row is a better option.
Thanks

Yes, but the question arises because on the 777HD and 787 the bulkhead has restricted legroom compared to other rows. How is it in the 777 refurbs?

Hi,
we are flying 3 April Muc-Yyz in Business Class.
Today i looked at my booking and saw that there is an airplane change from Airbus to 777.
Because i booked the flight via Lufthansa i cant see which configuration will fly.
Can you tell me?
We reserved G and K seats, the seats are the same with the 777, is that still okay or are there better seats for a couple in the 777
Thank you.

Help Clear Up Confusion
Hi All,
So I understand correctly. We will be flying AC 847 MUC-YYZ June 25, 2016. It is a 777-2LR.
Safe to assume this aircraft will have the updated J like that of the new 787?
The seating chart is showing as two class, but reading through this thread it appears all the refurb should be completed by then.
If this is true, and we are traveling as a couple, best to take two in the middle I presume. Also, any objections to 1D/1G? If like United the center partition comes down for conversation. I see it is close to the galley and not sure if we would be bothered.
Any clarification and help would be much appreciated. This is our first time with AC Business -- looks like a solid product. We typically fly Lufthansa or United J, but if we do in fact have the refurb J suites, it appears these are nicer...?
Many thanks,
Andrew

Looks like at the moment, there are 6 of the 40-seaters already done, and three with the old pods currently in service. So odds are 2/3 to be on an updated one.
Seat maps on aircanada.com seems to be a generic one that can cover both configurations.
Any other way to find in advance (couple of days) which one it will be?
Mainly an issue of picking up a seat. What shows up as 7D is likely 7A if on a "classic" pod. 6D if on a new one.
Economy seat map always shows old configuration. No matter which date over the whole week.

In the Wiki, thee is a post from last August with the planned service dates for the refurbished aircraft on specific routes. Have there been any updates to this?
I am specifically interested in YUL-CDG (I'm flying on 12 March). The Wiki shows the 450-seater 777-300ER (J28W24Y398) on this route as of 4 March. However, the seat maps are showing the 400-seater 777-300ER (J40W24Y336) all this week for AC870. Also, none of the 77W (J28) versions have been refurbished, according to the Wiki.
Anyone have experience in the last couple of days on this route as to which of the many versions of the 77W is flying now?

This "enhancement" has been in the works for almost a year. Nothing new and totally expected.
However it is a total devaluation of status perks such as e-ups.
I see little reason to kill myself or my budget to try to maintain SE status even though I am sitting at over 32,000 AQM since Jan 1 but AQD are only some 4K.
Better strategy is to find P/Z deals or book PYs (if you can find them which presumably will be easier next yr).
Aeroplan status is on life support.

Looks like 706 is done - scheduled to leave HKG tomorrow. Looks like 705 will be replacing it. The 77L conversion is down to a 34 day turnaround.
For those of you interested, I did a quick calculation of where it's all at.
For the 77L's, 3 of the 6 are done. If the 34 days hold, the conversion will all be complete by June 19. All the 77L's flying will be the new product by May 16 (when the last one goes in for conversion).
For the 77W (non-HD), 6 of 12 are complete. If the 37 days hold, the conversion will all be done on June 16. All the 77W's flying will be the new product by May 10 (when the last one goes in for conversion).
Then, the HD's would be done after that. I would expect it would only be a few days each, since only the J product is being replaced. This would put total completion in early July.

Just got off AC15 on C-FIUR (77W). Have to say that I am impressed with the new seat. Guess there was some last minute plane swap due to the refurbishment schedule! Also, I saw C-FNNH just flew back as AC16. Can someone please update the wikipost?
