changing class
a while ago booked into t class on overseas flight and now see an R available and the 7 day window here. currently, Q fare is available for $100 more than the t fare on aircanada.com. Can I call aircanada and ask them to change the reservation to q class for $100 so I can upgrade or will they charge a change fee?

You can ask but there are often more fees involved.

It is based on the current upgradeable fare vs what you paid, not the current fare difference.

There is no change fee to upgrade booking class - just the fare difference but how they calculate the fare difference is a bit of a mystery and will usually be more $$$ than what you see on ac.com
