YYZ - NBO Z/Y fare doubled in two days ;(

Just curious if I missed something as I researched flights two days ago and found a great price on EC lowest. I even looks 2-3 weeks earlier to make sure the fares weren't time sensitive.

Went to book today and they were over twice the price?!

Was there a seat sale I was not aware of? I can book the same fare on another airline for half?!

Yes, there was a special fare promo from Canada to Africa that ended the day before yesterday. Fares were quite amazing and I wouldnt expect anything close to that in the near future.

I was afraid of that and am kicking myself in the A$$ for not booking it. I guess alternate airline suggestions to NBO would be helpful at this point.

Thanks!

Try the ITA Matrix - best place to find the cheapest fares available.

I missed this. How low the price go?

You might try Ethiopian Airlines, which is best if you're leaving from Toronto. Alternately look at sky scanner or edreams. Both are useful European-based sites for cheap flights. E dreams has the advantage of being able to do multiple cities.

$2800 for a J fare to NBO. JNB was $2500. Check Nice J sale to Europe . AC was matching a KLM/AF sale.

I found a comparable flight with Qatar Airlines. Anyone fly this before. A quick seach looks decent.

Thanks for all the feedback!
