Help! Stranded at cdg!!!!
Right now over 100 passengers on AC 880 with bags to claim are stranded at CDG for nearly 2 hours by npw. Apparently there is no one from AC to sign off on delivery of bags to the carousal. We were told either to wait 2 hours or come back tomorrow to the airport to pick up.
BA passengers have left, having been promised that bags will be delivered to home/hotel.
I could not believe that AC is doing this to us.
Our flight was already relayed for 12 hours form YYZ last night due to mechanical.
This is totally unacceptable.
This is a flight from hell!!!
Of course, snow in Paris is making things worse.

What is npw?
I suspect the3 issue is really the snow, which may hamper dealing with luggage. Otherwise, why would BA be affected in the same way?
Additionally, I would think they should deliver luggage to hotels if luggage gets delayed.

I think the OP's issue is that there is no AC agent to sign off on bag delivery, hence they've been hanging around for a couple of hours. I wasn't aware an airline needed to do that, but maybe its a 'formality' you never otherwise see.
Snow sems incremental to the problem.

This is travel life, nothing else.
My bag got to Rwanda 4 days late (offloaded in BRU due to weight even though I'm *G and flying paid J)...the day I was leaving. Went to high level gov't meetings in the jeans, sneakers and t-shirt I flew over in all the way from YVR.
Bag arrived the morning I was leaving.
You really have to take this stuff in stride.

Looks like the OP's flight was significantly delayed and the people/employees who were supposed to be at the airport did not manage to make it, or at least to make it reasonably on time.
Driving into Paris on a snowy January Sunday earlier this year was an interesting exercise. Because it was Sunday, *and* people were scared, there was little traffic. No road cleaning to talk about. I am sure I scared a bunch of them even more when passing them at twice their speed.
Last year, there was a situation when a bunch of people abandoned their car on a freeway close to Paris and ended upon walking.

I feel your pain OP, but keep in mind that AC 844 YYC-FRA was diverted to AMS yesterday and those pax will not depart for FRA until tomorrow morning at 9 am, arriving roughly 24 hours late. Snow happens. I agree that AC not having anyone around to sign off on the bags is bloody annoying and the station manager should have had someone there waiting for the delayed flight. Very odd.
