As a side note it seems AC's PE is using the Recaro PL3510, which is identical to Virgin Australia. Proof this aircraft was meant for a Virgin operation... maybe they will find a seat which looks a bit more premium for the 787 deliveries.
Well, that brings the pax/lav ratio to 1:70. I'd hate to see how these lavs will look like towards the end of a TATL flight (TPAC will be even worse). Even better reason to avoid.

I'm just guessing the 3 lavs are for J. Maybe ACYYZ/SD can confirm for us.

I'm now seeing the 77P operating YYZ-MUC from August 30 on ac.com, probably early arrival of Fin 744 which was delivered yesterday to VCV California (interior retrofitting from Virgin spec there?).

Premium Economy on new 777?

Has anyone flown in the premium economy section in the new 777? My wife and I will be on the YYZ-MUC flight at the end of the month and as an upgrade to J does not look likely, we will probably end up in PE. Are some seats better than others? Any advice/info would be welcome

I thought AC had PE on only One 777 doing the YUL-CDG run; have they gotten more of these birds?

They are getting 5 in total. The second one is coming shortly...

there are already a couple of threads - one is here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-c...offerings.html

But so far doesn't seem like anyone has tried PE yet.

YYZ/MUC in PE...when I booked in May there were 3 rows in PE starting in row 12 according to the seat map. Then 2 more seats were added to the seatmap in 11AB and 11HK which was consistent with the YUL/CDG seat map. Now row 11 is gone again in the seat map for YYZ/MUC.

Thus is there or isn't there a row 11? If so, is the row 11 leg room sufficient or is it better to be in row 12?

The first aircraft delivered was to Virgin spec. It is the only one out of the 5 77P to have 28 PE seats, the rest will have 24 and in place of row 11 will have 2 additional dry galleys. Fin 743 is going to be retrofitted by having row 11 removed and the additional galleys installed at a later date.

By "Virgin spec", I assume you mean DJ (V Australia)?
Hadn't heard that, Do you have a link/source?

A friend who works AC maintenance told me this, it was mentioned in an internal cabin standards newsletter within the last 2-3 months. I know the PE seats were to Virgin Australia's specs and apparently even required the colour to be changed from DJs to ACs while in YMX!

ACYYZ/SD first mentioned the galley thing a while back which made me ask more about it.

Until Fin 743 is retrofitted 28 seats > 24 seats, duty free will temporarily not be available due to space constraints.

Surely duty free isn't more profitable than 4 PE seats???

Careful... Don't give them the idea of eliminating duty free on all flights in favour of additional seats
