Vancouver, BC ( November 16, 2001) -Over thirty hotels managed by CHIP Hospitality across Canada are offering rates of up to 75% off in a special holiday promotion that benefits the fight against homelessness.
CHIP Hospitality's annual Friends In Need promotion offers holiday season rates ranging from $29-$59.00 per night, single or double occupancy, with $10-$12 per room sold going to local charities including shelters and soup kitchens.
The Friends In Need promotion runs December 14-December 30, 2001, with dates varying per property. Last year, CHIP Hospitality hotels raised over $70,000 for charities across Canada including a youth emergency shelter in Edmonton, Calgary's Women Shelter, and Quebec City's St.Vincent de Paul Society. In addition many of the hotels will be donating soaps, shampoos and linens to their partner charities.
"Our annual Friends In Need program with its incredible rates is a great way to end the year," says Minaz Abji, executive vice president and chief operating officer, CHIP Hospitality. "Homelessness affects every city in Canada. Each of our associates are proud to be part of an initiative that is helping those in need, while providing affordable accommodation and incentive for people to be together during the holiday season. "
Participating hotels include CHIP Hospitality - managed Canadian Radisson, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Delta and other mid market and upscale hotels. Reservations can be made by contacting the hotels directly or by calling toll free: 1-866-399-6688 and asking for the Friends in Need Holiday Promotion.
