We can only joke about it because Jan has such a good sense of humour AND he's not a degenerate... If he was, it wouldn't be funny, just sad...

(waves hello to Jan !)

Really?

I checked a bunch of random dates and I did not see it.

Nope - just checked - seems to be a 13:00 departure throughout April. Still I can use it once!

Looks like it's more or less all April. But not May or March.

I've got a sched change notice for April.
YYC-FRA has been changed to depart at 14:55, arrive 8:20.
And downguaged to an A330.

I'm still not sure when the FRA-YYC will eventually depart, but...

am I confused here, or is the crux of the argument against the earlier flight is that now OP would have to wake up 3 hours earlier to make a one connection flight home from smaller european cites to the 5th largest metropolitan area in Canada?

Old article. Has since gone back to a more civilized departure time.

Recent change appears to be for a relatively short period, end of March to early April. Return fro FRA appears to be unchanged.

Switch to 333 seems to be a winter thing. In May it's back to a 77W.

End of March to early April change sounds like a European Daylight Savings versus Canadian Daylight Savings gap.
The May schedule is likely still summer 2014 roll over to paste into summer 2015. S15 slot conference does not happen until November.
