Question re check-in allowance when flying code-share

Hi all,

My sister is flying from DUB - YYZ tomorrow on flight AC6616 (DUB-LHR), then AC849(LHR-YYZ). The first leg (AC6616) is a codeshare with BMI.

She was on an economy ticket but due to an error in AC's part, was issued new ticket today. The fare codes are now U and C^ respectively for the two flights.

The question I'd like ask is what is her checked-in allowance?

She'll be traveling the first leg (DUB-LHR) in economy, but the second (LHR-YYZ) in business. Is she entitled the business check-in allowance, 2x 32kg, all the way through? Or, must she adhere to the BMI check-in rule, 1x 20kg, because her first leg is with them?

The ticket was originally bought through ac.com as a return ticket (DUB - YYZ - DUB).

I looked into e-upgrading her for the first leg too so she can be in business all the way through, but since the flight is operated by BMI, am unable to do so.

Thanks!
Michael
