Another bump. Does anybody know if Edelweiss (LX brand) earns AE miles? The AE website is vague; it references intra-Europe flights on Edelweiss, but not TATL. Anybody done this? Their J product doesn't look bad.

Swiss flight range LX 8000-8499 (operated by Edelweiss) is eligible for accumulation. Aeroplan Miles earned on these flights are not Altitude Qualifying Miles and do not count towards Air Canada Altitude™ status.

For anybody reading this, YYC-ZRH on Edelweiss is flight number LX8015 and therefore is eligible for AQM/AQS but not AQD. Correct me if I am further mistaken Bohemian1, but partner flights on Swiss in that range should earn AQM like any other *A eligible flight, no?

You are right. I am going to chalk up my stupidity to jet lag and move on.

The ability to earn Aeroplan miles only (i.e. no AQM/AQS/AQD) on select non-Star Alliance operated fllghts is a pretty common arrangement (there are a very few exceptions, but most non-*A mileage earning partnerships only include the earning of Aeroplan miles).
