Try pricing it out. You can do cheaper tickets and do a stopover (I just tried it with a V fare). YEG-YYC-FRA stopover FRA-MUC MUC-YYZ-YEG on a YLE9 fare.

Should be same for yours

I used the YHE9 because my departure date is two days before the mid season kicks in. I just got back from the airport where we tried it again and the quote jumps from 2900 to 5200 dollars [even though a FRA-BER-FRA business ticket is only 646]. We have sent it to rates and tarrifs for a look see.

Were the flights that you used AC numbers [codeshare] from FRA to MUC. That is one avenue that I am tracking as there are no codeshares to Berlin for some reason.

BB when I tried that in Expedia and looked again at the fare level it was a BHE fare and a few dollars more than the YHE.

I used UA flight numbers believe it or not from FRA-MUC. In my experience it hasn't mattered. I have done this with LH, BD etc. flight numbers.

I got my reply from the pricing people:

Two stops are allowed on either side of the Atlantic. The trick is to book the AC sectors in Y and the LH sectors in M class [not Y] as the previous agents were trying.

I don't know of a booking engine on the Internet that would allow us to do this however.

All fixed up and ready to go.
