The interesting thing about the survey was that they are clearly distancing themselves from the Aeroplan branding, which is a huge departure.
Instead of Aeroplan as the program name, with various descriptors (Prestige, Elite, etc.), ALL of the new options start with "Air Canada" then a new program name (e.g. "Altitude").
Wow... Perhaps Aeroplan is all about the points, but AC wants the program tiers to be tied to their branding instead.
That interesting shift aside, as a marketing guy myself I do find it funny that they are surveying customers on product naming.

I chose my preference on the survey where numbers were shown as "100K" or where words show "Super Elite".
I chose the order of preference of program as:
1) Air Canada Elite
2) Air Canada Distinction
3) Air Canada 360
4) Air Canada Altitude
Although seeing a luggage tag with "Elite: Super Elite" would be rather confusing.

The top tier side of things has always been managed by AC not AP.
AP only helps in getting the member benefits (card, certs, luggage tags) distributed.

I really don't get the 360-degree thing. I see no connection to a reward program and 360-degree anything - unless it's referring to the "spin" that's being put on everything lately.

Did we? If that's the case, I do not recall. And anyway, how could they enforce that? We are doing volunteer work for them in the first place.
Reminds me of employment reference letters. One of my references would invariably copy me on any reference letter he would write for me.
I suspect bottom line is, no contractual relationship, no obligation that can be enforced.

Funny, my choice was almost opposite, Altitude first, then 360. However, distinction last. And I like my 100 without k.

So it's been over 2 months since we last heard from ACTT -- more than twice as long as the previously longest disappearance.
Does that mean they've left for good?

Super Elite for top always sounded like they were grasping at tagging it as being something extra special, Cheezy sounding even.
Top group should be simple one word like Elite for +100K
For 50K it's tough, it equal to Star Gold, of the ones listed "Distinction" probably is best choice.
For 35K Sliver level ( you get a cookie but not much else ) Altitude I guess works, signifies flying and at 35K you are flying more than 2-4 times a year
For 25K which is really just AC thing, 360 I guess, but keeping Prestige makes more sense to me
