Yeah. It's this kind of crappy seats, but on a 747-400 upper deck. It's 2 x 2 in configuration. LH only assigns one seat per seat pairs in F. I don't know if they do this for every flight or just on flights that are not full in F.

Besides, I can assure you that none of these seats are ever blocked. They may space passengers out if there are empty seats, but often there are none.

Not too crappy seats, but crappy as F seats, IMO.

Just checked. Here's the seat map of a random LH F cabin on the 744

So yes, they do block the seats and do not sell all 16 F seats in the upper deck. They only sell 8.

Unless you get the new seat + bed, it's the second-worst F in Star (behind Egyptair). The IFE is a tiny screen with non-demand movies, and the seats are in worse shape than AC's pods. The only real plus is the amount of space you get (2 seats' worth).

Now if you get LX A333 F, that's a different story!

The bed+seat configuration is only for the old 747-400 aircraft. If you are lucky to fly on the new 744, you only get a good seat. That's what the picture depicts above.
