YEP! Going back on topic YVR Concierges' are so use to seeing me that now in YVR when they see my name appear on there SE list for connections they automatically try and see if I can connect faster that sameday to Montreal and on occasion meet me at the aircraft door on arrival from HKG to YVR and escort me thru customs and get me on my way to the next flight....now that I really really value a lot!

I've been pleased to receive excellent service and timely assistance from concierges in CDG, LHR, FRA, HKG, LGA, YUL, YYZ, YEG and YVR.

The most appreciated SE benefit as far as I am concerned.

Truthfully not as long as the same class of service is available to book in...the only thing they could be guilty of is not charging the change fee. But I have found as long as you don't abuse it with them they are all pretty good at helping out when they can.

For example yesterday in HKG, the HKG-YVR was way oversold and so was the HKG-YYZ. The Concierge called me to my cell phone just before lunch and asked me if I would like to travel earlier to Toronto directly and that most likely they would be able to accomodate me in J Class as a Comp upgrade. I appreciated the call and if I could of left my meetings earlier that was a nice touch that I could of capitalized being in my bed in Montreal much earlier in the day.
Those are nice touches that make you feel valued as a customer.

Sometimes it's just best not to post on an IBB about what one receives as an "above and beyond" benefit from AC concierges or other staff, especially if rules get bent.

One should be grateful for the "one time only" special consideration and move on. Publishing too many details, naming names, stations or routings, etc. will only spoil it for the staff concerned and make such accomodations more difficult to deliver in the future.

Take it for what it's worth. And, keep it to yourself.

There is no question that concierges can do things that you can't do yourself.

Who else will meet you at the plane exit, recognize you and hand you new connecting boarding passes because your flight has gone mechanical?

Who else can re-book your mini RTW ITN and re-claim ownership of the ticket from another *A carrier just to make sure you leave on time and make your cnx in ORD?
And who else will put a not on file to tell gate agents to upgrade you if space is open?

They take good care of SE's. It is the one truly unique benefit of this program.

If one is not a SE, but rather buys an Executive First ticket, and therefore is entitled to use the concierges, how long before and after the flight is one entitled to use their services? 24 hours before and after? Only the same day? Also, will they be as proactive in helping you in this situation where it's not your status that entitles you to use them, but your class of travel?

I am 100% confident that the Concierges will provide the same service to a full J pax as they do with us SE's. I am sure you may use there services fully prior to departure as it relates only to your booked flights in J Class and within 24 hours after arrival. Remember the Concierge is part of Premium Products which is J Class International paxs as well.

How about any level of Executive First (ie. Executive First Lowest)? It doesn't specify only full-fare passengers in the section of the website about the concierge service.
