Canadian cuts over to Air Canada's Operation System tonight

For those that watched the Discovery Channel show this change may be of interest . . .

Tonight Canadian is scheduled to cut over to Air Canada’s operational systems.

Starting October 28, Canadian Airlines’ fleet will use Air Canada’s Flight Management and Information System (FMIS) to update flight forecasts and feed information into other Air Canada operations systems such as LIDO, ALPAC, Cruise, RESIII, OPS and FIDS. FMIS will continue to update SABRE for Canadian Airlines’ maintenance and crew planning purposes. Experts from Weight and Balance, Flight Dispatch, SOC, ISM and Information Technology have set up a System’s Integration Centre to help make sure the cut over proceeds as smoothly as possible.
