Delay of AC strike threat
AC noted at the request of the Minister of Labour and agreement of the company & ACPA, the validity of a strike vote taken by ACPA was extended to 9/1/00 from 8/25. Both parties agree that neither will give notice of strike or lockout prior to 8/29/00. Normal operations will continue. According to Canadian labour law, any union will be required to give 72 hours notice prior to taking a strike action.
