AC now flies direct Toronto-Ontario, California:
Air Canada flight AC675 (CP3675/UA3050) leaves Toronto at 0930 and arrives in Ontario at 1141.
From Ontario, AC670 (CP3670/UA3067) leaves at 1240 and arrives in Toronto at 2025.
Double bonus miles to August 31!

According to an article in the LA Times, the 49 pax were welcomed with a kilt-wearing bagpipe player, confetti, flag-waving third graders, and Mickey Mouse himself. The arriving pax came with a Canadian Mountie as escort.
Air Canada is selling ONT as an alternative to LAX for destinations such as Disneyland. Air Canada hopes to keep the plane at least half filled, on average, every flight, and that anything above that more than pays for the route. The Airbus used on the route can accommodate 112 passengers. The hope is that Air Canada's arrival will prompt other airlines to give close consideration to the advantages of ONT.
