JNB Stop - and a quick Uber Tour?

We are looking into purchase airfares from Livingston (VF) to Cape Town. There are two choices with 4hr or 3hr20 stop. Is it reasonable to have 1hr20 driving tour (Uber) perhaps around Sandton area? Thanks.

Unless you want to drive around in the Sandton area you can take the Gautrain direct from the airport. About R280 per person round trip (something like $23 or $24 USD). Station is adjacent to the Sandton City Mall area. Lots of restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, etc.

+1

I stayed near the Gautrain station in Sandton and it is indeed very nice and an easy way to kill a layover of that length.

Should you have the opportunity to extend that layover, you could take the Gautrain into downtown (Park station?) and hop on the CitySightseeing bus.
