currency exchange in Accra airport, few other questions
Good day all,
Will be flying into Accra late on a Saturday evening (well, flight arrives about 7pm, am told to expect chaos with regards baggage retrieval, so who knows what time I'll be done once through passport control and got my suitcase).
Anywhere at the airport to buy currency at that point?
Or, alternatively, anyone know if I can get Ghanaian cedi in advance of travel? Looking online, even the big currency places like Travelex don't seem to stock it.
Also, any recommendations for a hotel in Accra, vaguely central. Ideally equivalent of around £100 a night , though could go up to £150 if essential. Clean, quite, comfortable, wifi are basically my requirements.
Cheers for any advice.
Mike

There are currency exchange offices both before customs and in the arrivals hall. You can't get Ghana Cedi outside Ghana. On a good day I hav been out of the airport within 40 minutes of landing but it is usually nearer to an hour
The hotels question is on is a bit harder. The western chain hotels are around $300 a night for holiday inn Novotel or the best western. The more local hotels can be a bit of a challenge if you are not used to Ghana.

Thanks Stuart, that's helpful.
Probably going to plump for this hotel, which seems new and has good reviews at a decent enough price. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...ter_Accra.html
