Bus services in Cape Town?

During the preparations for the World Cup, there were plans to instal bus services in Cape Town. Did these materialise?

We'll be back in Cape Town soon. Although we'll rent a car for most of our time, we'll have a couple of days relaxing and acclimatising. Getting about on buses would be very helpful. I'm thinking of getting from Sea Point to the CBD/city centre and perhaps to the V&A Waterfront.

We're not overkeen on using the 'taxis' (minibuses) and remember from a few years ago that there was a regular service between Sea Point and the V&A.

Anybody with recent experience? Thanks.

The new service is operational. Details can be found here. Doesn't extend to Sea Point though as far as I can tell.

The last stop of the new service from the City Centre is at the Stadium but you can change at the V&A for the old bus service to Sea Point and the Golden Arrow buses are still running from Adderley St to Camps Bay via Sea Point
