Getting Gold status after hitting the 20K threshold
Question for people,
How long does it take for A3 to give the official Gold status after getting the 20K miles? The reason I ask is that I travel again in 2 days and would like to use the lounge and luggage benefits. I hit the threshold last Thursday and have had the miles credit to my M&B account.

Card upgrades usually post at the same time as your qualifying miles post (happened to me), but there are reports that they can post a few days after that aswell. I would check back every day if I were you.

Well, he had a trip on Thai booked 10th-14th November. Usually he just flies and retroclaims the miles. This time he remembered about the cutoff and whilst in Vietnam added his A3 number to his booking manually. His outward flight was a miles-earning fare class, his return not. Fortunately, his outward miles were then added to his account on the 15th, so he is now Gold, just days before the cutoff.

Gold Upgrade: 15 Nov 2014
Gold Card arrived: not yet -
Gold Expiry date: probably 12/2015

I earned Gold status last year and my card was only valid until Dec 2014. Does anyone know when they will send a new card that expires Dec 2015?
