Hotel Mercure Toulouse Aéroport Golf de Seilh

Free covered parking ( think everyone gets this )

One level upgrade - refurbished room as well.

Contents of mini bar - 4 bottles / cans soft drink ( plus 2 water )

2 welcome drink vouchers - good for spirits and soft

Big smile at reception. This was the most important bit of all

Fairmont Austin

Received two drink vouchers at checkin and free premium wifi. Supposedly upgraded one room category, but it seemed like a standard room, just on the top floor.
Gold welcome gift was a bottle of Fiji water and a few soak and a stack of a few Texas-shaped chocolates from Delysia Chocolatier. This was the same chocolate they offered for turndown service. Quite underwhelming.

My stays this past 2 months.
Status Platinum.

Banyan Tree Bangkok
Booked Horizon King and got upgraded to 55th floor with lounge access. I believe the welcome amenity is a standard amenity they give to every guest, so nothing special for Platinum I guess.

Novotel Bangkok Impact
Booked Standard Room and got upgraded to Premier floor (10th).

Rixos Pera Istanbul #1
Booked Deluxe Room, Pera View. No upgrade, no welcome amenity, no mentioning of Accor whatsoever. Plus, got a big wall for Pera view.

No welcome amenity.

What a Pera view...

Rixos Downtown Antalya
Booked Deluxe Room, Sea View. Got upgraded to Deluxe Suite with terrace, I think. Welcome amenity could do better. Happy with the upgrade anyway.

Novotel Konya
Booked Superior Room, got upgraded to One-bedroom Suite on the top floor. Happy.

Rixos Pera Istanbul #2
Second stay, booked Deluxe Room, Pera View. I believe I got downgraded to ... not sure what this room is but definitely worse than my first stay as it was smaller and not a Deluxe room as shown on their website. Moreover, the room was on the third building where looked more like a residence building. Also, to have breakfast one need to come down elevator and walk through the second building to the first building to go up top floor where breakfast is served. As for Pera view, not sure what that view was. After I spent some times being confused in the room, I think they started to remember a bit about Accor and something Platinum, and got me welcome amenity later on. Reason for putting me in this room, they said it was full house, but I checked on the app, there were still rooms and they could have upgraded me to a better room anyway if my room category was unavailable. It gave an impression that they wanted to be stingy but also felt like they need to give something, but not too much. Need to give, but not too much...

What a view...

Novotel Bangkok Silom Road
Booked Superior room, and got upgraded to a One-bedroom Suite. Oh how I love Asian hotel.

Pullman Mandalay Mingalar
Booked Superior room, no upgrade. They claimed that they were under construction and there was no better room ready. Overall it was a fantastic stay anyway.

Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square
Booked Junior Suite, no upgrade as they claimed to be full house. No welcome amenity. Now I do not love Asian hotel as much.

Just to show there was nothing on the table...

Novotel Saint Petersburg Centre
Booked Superior Room, got upgraded to Junior Suite. Second stay I booked a Junior Suite, so no more upgrade.

VIE Hotel Bangkok - MGallery #1
Booked Deluxe Suite, got upgraded to Executive Suite.

VIE Hotel Bangkok - MGallery #2
Second time stay, booked Deluxe room, got upgraded to a Penthouse Suite! Reason was they were full house. VIE = My favourite from now on.

Mercure Sapporo

As Platinum guest

Very unusual... at complimentary breakfast a reserved placard was placed on my table. Other guests had an occupied sign. Also while enjoying my breakfast a waitress came over with a basket of goodies for me to choose from. Mostly assortment of Japanese beverages, but I went for the ice cream

Sorry, it’s not an Accor hotel (it’s a competitor) ...but it should be taken as example by Accor !

A beautiful velvety Apple as centerpiece... 😃

The Rixon Downtown might want to rethink their plating of the banana and two round fruits!
