Hi, i'm quite new to Accor and need help with my status. I'm currently a Silver member but i think i'm gonna get 10,000 points needed to level up to Gold in a few weeks. So my questions:

1. When i get those 10,000 points, will my status be automatically upgraded to Gold?

2. Do i begin my Gold level journey with 0 points after being upgraded or do i keep those 10,000 points?

Thanks and sorry if this has been posted before

Hello Noyd and welcome to the forum!

Your status gets upgraded immediately after reaching 10'000 points, the card will take a few weeks to arrive, but online it will already be visible as gold (and also count as such for hotels, but you might have to convince some of them ).

You keep those 10'000 points of course and can spend them however you want. Once you reach gold status, it will be valid for a year. Within this year, you have to gather ANOTHER 10'000 points to keep your status. So it's always the amount earned within 1 year that counts.

Whilst awaiting my new card for an upgrade from gold to platinum i received an email from customer services advising me to email any hotels i was staying at in the near future to remind them of my recent upgrade so appropriate benefits and points were awarded
